Why not He’s like you could do it in four years and I was like okay: let’s do it So i stopped playing baseball, lacrosse and soccer focused on swimming, because that’s what i wanted to do.

Cussing, those guys just saw the magnet – I didn’t even agree to it. They said this is what you’re going to do. You’ll be heavily champ. You’re going to win the olympics. You’ll win the gold medal. You’re going to do this. You’re going to be this and that – and I didn’t want him to think I was afraid.

PUSH LIMITS

The coach that I actually brought along the road with me. He beat me when i was 15 by three tenths of a point, going to the 2002 Olympics. He’s the last guy to drop in. I’m in first place. He comes down and beats me by three tenths of a point so thankful that happened. He catapulted me all the way to that point when I was 16 to win.

CREATE RESULTS
Tony Robbins, World’s Leading Business & Life Coach
What does a coach do? It’s an external environment so that someone else can give you feedback, because you’re still inside this game. When i played sports the reason i called myself a coach later in life is because i wasn’t a motivator. I wasn’t a guru and I thought in my life as an athlete, I was a better athlete than some of my coaches. But i was in the game. I was in the forest. I couldn’t see things my coach could see and they gave me immense value. So that’s why i decided that’s what i really do is coach people. I’m not better. I can just see certain things because that’s my job, right! Well, you need a coach of some sort and you want to get a professional coach and you want to visit with them at least twice a month, even if it’s just 20 minutes. Just so remember, I said in business. What gets measured gets better in life. What gets measured gets better and you need something to bounce off of that consistently.
